Oats (HarvestCraft)Edit

Oats is one of many grain crops added by the HarvestCraft mod. It is inedible, and cannot be consumed to reduce the player's hunger.

Oats, like most grains, can be used to craft Flour.

Oats can be obtained by right-clicking on a ripe Oats crop to harvest it. As with all HarvestCraft crops, the crop does not need to be replanted after harvesting, as it will use the same plot to grow future Oats.

Planting a new plot of Oats requires an Oats Seed.

Planting Oats SeedsEdit

An Oats Seed can be obtained in one of three ways, depending on if you are playing the Basic or Hungry version of the Life in the Woods modpack:

  1. Placing Oats in a crafting grid will craft one Oats Seed.
  2. Breaking grass has a chance to result in an Oats seed as part of the random seeds dropped. (Basic)
  3. Using a hoe to till a non-hydrated grass block (not near the water) will cause the grass to drop a randomly selected seed, possibly an Oats Seed. (Hungry)

Once obtained, Oats Seeds can be planted by right-clicking on tilled soil while it is held in the player's hand. This is the same method used for Potatoes and Carrots in vanilla Minecraft.
